You will start in the second year and receive additional tuition and study materials to master the material of the first year. Getting into the hospitality industry that freshman students already have is given hands-on treatment at the Sibelicious training company.
- Tailor-made program for havists
You've just graduated from HAVO and want to work in the hospitality industry, but you think the move from HAVO to HBO is a bit too big. Or maybe you are not directly authorized with your profile. Then a tailor-made program could be something for you.
What does this custom process entail? You start your MBO training in hospitality at De Rooi Pannen in Tilburg. The main goal of your first year trip is to show you the field of international hospitality and to familiarize you with everything that happens in it. During the trip you will learn everything about hospitality, service concepts, intercultural aspects and sustainable development in your future work environment.
During the trip you will of course see and hear a lot. You will also meet professionals from the sector. You have to collect all these experiences yourself and see what you make of it and what you can learn from it.
Study trips after the preparatory year
You start with a so-called “wine tour”. Now you will experience everything you learned in the Wines and Spirits course in practice and (if you are over 18 years old) of course too! Which techniques are used, are the guidelines for the beverage sector (wines and spirits) observed, what do you drink with which dish? You will experience everything.
Finally, there is a third excursion. You will experience this together with students of the International Facility Management course. Above all, you will learn how certain topics such as finance, marketing, revenue management and sustainability are related.

A connector that drives lasting change
At EVENT Hotels I have evolved from a coordinating to a more strategic role. I show that corporate responsibility goes well together… with commercial goals. For example, I try to get people to take a critical look at the food chain and fight food waste. I see myself as a link. You have to dare to talk about it, I learned that at the FH. During the reflective class I learned to understand the behavior and adjust my communication accordingly. I now use this in my stakeholder presentations.

Exactly the combination I was looking for!
This training offered me opportunities to develop further in the field of sustainability. Wrote a business plan with focus… a sustainable company in the hospitality industry and researched the reduction of food waste in restaurants. For me personally exactly the combination I was looking for!
